On December 2nd, Unified Radiology held its bi-annual membership meeting in Chicago. The meeting began with Ted Burnes from RADPAC providing updates on topics including Medicare reform, Medicaid cuts, and ACA subsidies/replacement. Primary topics throughout the day-long meeting, openly discussed in a roundtable format, included scheduling challenges, RVU management, and overseas hiring. Unified Radiology’s three pillars were also discussed: management services, technology (artificial intelligence, common workflow platform, cybersecurity), and teleradiology (overnights, weekends, greater sub-specialization).
