On May 29th, Unified Radiology held its bi-annual membership meeting in Austin. The meeting opened with Ted Burnes from ACR’s RADPAC, who provided an update on radiology advocacy efforts. Primary topics throughout the day-long meeting, openly discussed in a roundtable format, included hospital relationships and how members tackle “evolving models” (compensation, RAs/RPAs, RVU management, remote coverage, work “packets”, etc.). Unified Radiology’s three pillars were also discussed: management services, technology (artificial intelligence, common workflow platform, cybersecurity), and teleradiology (overnights, weekends, greater sub-specialization).
