On May 7th, Unified Radiology held its bi-annual membership meeting in Philadelphia. The meeting began with Ted Burnes from RADPAC providing updates on topics, including what to expect for the rest of the 2026 calendar year: the No Surprises Act Enforcement Act, reconciliation, and election messaging. Primary topics openly discussed in a roundtable format throughout the day-long meeting included hospital financial support negotiations, emerging radiology technologies, including a deep-dive into AI models, and what Unified Radiology calls “evolving models” – scheduling and compensation to adapt to the ever-changing radiology landscape (remote radiologists, remote contracts, RVU management, overseas radiologists, etc.). Unified Radiology’s three pillars were also discussed: management services, advocacy (Unified Radiology Advocacy Committee), and teleradiology (“members supporting members”).
